Automated Action Options
Online poker software usually offers several manners in which to automate, or automatically select, your next action. The automated action options are used when you have decided what action to take without needing to know the specifics of what other players do.
These buttons are usually checkboxes allowing you to preselect an action. The most common options are listed below, though not that not all software offers all of these options.
Fold
Your hand will be folded.
Fold/Check
If the calling amount to you is zero then you will checked, otherwise your hand will be folded.
Fold to any bet
If the calling amount increases, that is, somebody bets, before your turn your hand will be folded.
This is often an extra option set aside from the "Fold/Check" option. While the other options are only presented when you have an imminent action, this is always available. It indicates
Call Amount
Usually presented as a specific amount, such as "Call $1". If the calling amount does not increase by the time it is your turn to act then you will call the given amount.
Call Any
Regardless of how high the calling amount is you will call your hand.
Raise Amount
Usually presented as a specific amount, such as "Raise $2". If the amount of the raise does not change by the time it is your turn to act, you will raise the bet by this amount.
In some poker rooms you may find this option available only on limit tables.
