hole card
Also know as a down card, a hole card is any card in a particular game where only the player holding it may see it. This in contrast to open cards which everybody can see.
In Hold'em each player has two hole cards, referred to as their pocket. In Omaha each player has four hole cards. In 7-card Stud each player will have 3 hole cards, two at the start, and one at the end.
