This is a list of some of the more common acronyms you'll find when reading about poker. Many typical forum and chat acronyms are not included (such as lol) unless they are rather poker specific.

• 3bet - the third bet (bet, raise, reraise=third bet)
• Ax - an ace with any other card
• AGG - aggression (tracker stat)
• B&M - brick and mortar casino (non-online casino)
• BB - big blind, big bet
• BB/100 - big bets per hundred hands
• CO - cut-off
• CR - check raise
• Donk - donkey
• EV - expected value
• EV- - negative expected value
• EV+ - positive expected value
• FL - fixed limits
• FR - full ring
• FPS - fancy play syndrome
• GG - good game (chat)
• GL - good luck (chat)
• HE - hold'em
• HU - heads-up
• LHE - limit hold'em
• LO8 - limit omaha high-low
• MTT - multi-table tournament
• N1 - nice one (chat)
• NL - no limits
• NH - nice hand (chat)
• NLH, NLHE - no limits hold'em
• ##NL, 50NL - a maximum buy-in of ##/50 in a no limits ring game
• OESD - open ended straight draw
• OOP - out of position
• OTB - on the button
• PF - pre-flop
• PFR - pre-flop raise (tracker stat %)
• PL - pot limit
• PLO - pot limit omaha
• PP - pocket pair
• RB - rebuy
• ROI - return on investment
• SB - small blind
• SC - suited connector
• SNG - sit and go tournament
• STT - single table tournament
• TPGK - top pair good kicker
• TPTK - top pair top kicker
• UTG - under the gun
• VNH - very nice hand
• VPIP, VP$IP - voluntarily put money in the pot (tracker stat %)
• W$SD - won money at showndown
• WSF - won money when saw the flop
• WPT - world poker tour
• WSOP - world series of poker
