big blind
In games with blinds the big blind is the second blind and equal to the minimum betting amount (or small amount in a fixed limit game). The big blind is two positions to the left of the dealer, one position to the left of the small blind.
Big blind may also be used to simply refer to player who is in that position.
The cutoff has made a 4BB bet and the button and small blind have folded in turn. The big blind decides to call by putting in 3BB more.
