inside straight draw
A type of straight draw where a single card in the middle of the straight is missing. There is a also a form in which two inside straight draws are present, colourfully called a double barrelled gutshot.

The above is an inside straight draw as it requires a single rank, the eight, to complete the straight. Such hands have four outs to the straight.

The above is a double inside straight draw as either the six or jack will complete the straight. These hands have eight outs, the same as an open ended straight draw.
