To chase a hand means to continue playing in hopes of getting a card to complete a drawing hand. The term is used to both refer to people chasing with appropriate pot odds and those incorrectly chasing with negative expected value.
Petre has a flush draw on the flop. His opponent, Timothy, makes only a minimal bet so it is sensible for Petre to chase his flush by calling and seeing the turn.
