Blinded out, or blind death, is a manner in which people lose their chips in a tournament solely due to posting blinds. That is, a player who never participates in a hand will nonetheless be forced to pay blinds and eventually lose their chips.

This is a planned aspect in a tournament. Blinds are gradually increased to force players to participate in hands and bring the tournament to conclusion.

The term blinded out is a blind-game specific form of the term ante death.
