Draw poker is a family of poker games in which a player may replace cards during play. The most common of these games is five card draw.

At specific intervals in the game the player may discard a specific number of cards and receive new cards from the deck. Generally this is done in a clockwise fashion. Usually the players may exchange any number of cards up to a maximum, or replace none at all.
