tilt
A player who has suffered a particularly large bad beat or has been having a very bad session may often start to play worse. This player is said to be on tilt.
A player who is on tilt tends to play looser and more aggressive. They make raises when they shouldn't and chase hands with unfavourable pot odds. They may also make a greater number of bluffs and fail to react to warning signs their opponents actions.
Robyn just lost a large pot, significantly depleting his stack. She is steaming a bit, clearly angry about the loss. He is dealt 7♦ 8♦ in mid position and makes a large bet, 5 times the big blind. Rej, on the button has J♠ J♦ and raises. Robyn shoves. Rej just doesn't buy it, sensing Robyn is on tilt, and calls as a strong favourite to win.
